Native Americans celebrate the diversity of nature, and thank the Great Spirit for good hunting and the fecundity of harvests’ both wild and cultivated. They also offer prayers for each kill that they make, asking forgiveness of each individual animal spirit. This is very different from our concept of packages of meat cut up and priced on a butchers slab, or in the Supermarket.
